therhett17 02-28-2023, 08:15 AM Don't have any pics, but the signs are up on the building now! Pete 02-28-2023, 08:40 AM They will be opening before the end of March. I really like their stuff and look forward to checking everything out. therhett17 03-13-2023, 04:44 PM 17929 They’re open now! Pete 03-13-2023, 04:45 PM 17929 They’re open now! Not until March 17th. therhett17 03-14-2023, 08:03 AM Not until March 17th. They have a big sign on the building that says "NOW OPEN" and there were regular customers entering and exiting the store. Unless its a soft opening or something. Pete 03-14-2023, 08:05 AM They have a sign on the building that says "NOW OPEN" and there were regular customers entering and exiting the store. Unless its a soft opening or something. Interesting. They told me March 17th and their website doesn't show them open yet. Thanks for the heads up; I'll go by there. GaryOKC6 03-14-2023, 08:45 AM Their ribbon cutting /grand opening is this Thursday at 3:00pm jn1780 03-14-2023, 08:50 AM I will have to check them out. Hope they don't have shopper stalkers like Mathis Brothers do or what my wife calls them: "Sad little puppy dogs that follow you around". Pete 03-14-2023, 08:57 AM I will have to check them out. Hope they don't have shopper stalkers like Mathis Brothers do or what my wife calls them: "Sad little puppy dogs that follow you around". Their employees don't work on commission, thank goodness. I really liked them in California and their contemporary style and business model will be a great addition to this market. We need something other than Mathis Brothers and Bob Mills. You can also order virtually everything through their website and app. GaryOKC6 03-14-2023, 09:14 AM One of the guys who moved here from Phoenix to open this store said that this store is much larger than the one he ran in Phoenix. scottk 03-15-2023, 07:28 PM I will have to check them out. Hope they don't have shopper stalkers like Mathis Brothers do or what my wife calls them: "Sad little puppy dogs that follow you around". I am hoping the same, let me look, if I have a question I will seek you out. Hoping the store is more like Nebraska Furniture Mart or Ikea, where you are left alone and aren't bothered unless you want to be. We have had such negative experiences at the two large stores on Reno. Your wife calls them "Sad little puppy dogs", I call them vultures. Pete 03-16-2023, 07:14 AM The official opening is Friday, March 17th but Oklahoma's first Living Spaces furniture store has been quietly open for about at week. http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423c.jpg Located on the southeast corner of May Avenue and Memorial Road, the 140,000-square-foot store offers all types of furnishings and décor. There is also a cafe with coffee, food items, and wine and beer (you can actually drink while you shop). For the little ones, there is a supervised, huge indoor play area. The California-based chain employs non-commission sales associates who are happy to help but won't stalk you while you browse the huge store. The company also has a robust website and app where you can view and buy almost everything they have in their brick-and-mortar. Most items can be delivered in just a few days; small items can be carried out. In addition to the typical floor displays, there are four fully furnished and accessorized 'homes' each showcasing a different furniture style: Modern, Farmhouse, Spanish, and Rustic. There are celebrity collections like Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines, and items described as 'timeless and sophisticated' by Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent. Long popular in the Western U.S., Living Spaces promotes itself as a purveyor of stylish, diverse and well-priced furniture and home décor. Hours 10 AM to 9 PM daily. http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423b.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423d.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423e.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423f.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423o.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423g.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423h.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423i.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423j.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423k.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423l.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423m.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/livingspaces031423n.jpg Brett 03-16-2023, 07:30 AM That's a pretty steep price for a child's apple juice box. Rover 03-16-2023, 08:13 AM Nice furniture shopping alternative and given its location should do very well. Pete 03-16-2023, 08:20 AM It's a beautiful, fantastic store. Their employees are non-commission but very helpful if you should need a question answered. Completely different than any of the large furniture stores in OKC. I also happen to really like their stuff; a lot of contemporary and classic styles. It's pleasant and fun just to go in and walk around and check it all out; that is something I would never do at the places down on Reno. They are going to kick tail in this market. bucktalk 03-18-2023, 09:29 AM I agree that the store layout, vibes, display's are all pretty cool. And not having a sales person follow you around is an added bonus. But I must confess, I don't feel like most of the furniture isn't the best quality. My sense is the WestElm or Pottery Barn type quality of furniture is much better. The price point will be a plus for a lot of shoppers. But if you truly want higher quality furniture -I don't think Living Spaces will fill that need. |
