A minor thing but I have often hoped that the white/green cylinder, which is lit at night, would get a massive lighting upgrade so the beam could be seen in the air driving into the City.

According to this article by Velocity, new tenants have been announced for this project, and Beffort stated the hotel is expected to break ground this summer, good deal.

I'm so lost on this project. I'm assuming the video boards are cancelled but what about the rooftop garden plaza between the two buildings? Also, is the pond and plaza around the beacon still happening? Both those seem like projects that wouldn't cost that much, but would make a world of a difference.

Scrolling back a few pages to find the site plan since I didn't remember where the hotel was going to go, should be nice to see this part go up next since it'll largely complete the view of the site from I-235.

Guessing they will probably use the same crane, since its already in position.

Yes, I think so. The hotel is projected to break ground this summer.

I was never terribly uptight about the revisions but I’m glad to see how it has progressed. I acknowledge that the original renderings were striking and highlighted the “disruptive innovation” concept, but I was afraid that in practice some of the obtuse angles and showy materials might be a little TOO ostentatious. Scaling back seems like it might blend it in with the surrounding area at-large without offending the distinctive glamour of the BHGE building.

Will have to see more as the entire area develops, but how it has progressed thus far inspires my confidence.

Have there been any announcements made with regard to tenants in the office building? I drive by this site fairly often, and from what I can see through the glass it doesn’t seem like a whole lot of finish work is going on inside. Curious if that work will be done under separate TI packages/permits?

With that said, this is such an impressive project. Especially considering most (if not all) of the site extends 1-2 stories below ground. That alone took a massive amount of work just to get the project back up to ground level.

New renderings came out in June and are still on their website, so I would guess so. The crane might not have worked for that area so they might have to place it somewhere else.
