Sucks, but keeping air service in general is huge. Catch probably knows more, but the perception I get is its way easier to go from 1-2 than 0-1.

not unexpected nor surprising - at least they aren't closing the station completely

If you drive by the parking lots at Stillwater airport they still look well used, but not as much as before.

SWO wouldn't surprise me.

American Airlines is suspending service to Stillwater effective Oct 7.

Hopefully we can get another stimulus bill passed. I imagine Burns Hargis has been on the phone with our US senators today.

I noticed that Sioux City,SD was one of the cities that had service cut, too. They had flights to Chicago and DFW. The day that service ends there, United begins service to Denver and Chicago. So, I wonder if United has been on the phone any with OSU

would be a steal if SWO got Denver AND Chicago losing DFW on AA, let alone just Denver on United.

At least it only said "temporarily suspending service from Oct. 7 to Nov. 3". Much of northwest and north central Oklahoma economically benefit from having passenger air service to Dallas-Ft. Worth available from a closer drive than Tulsa or OKC airports.

"Stillwater’s Mayor Will Joyce and city staff are aware that federal financial assistance is needed to maintain local commercial air service. They have been in contact with Oklahoma’s congressional delegation and are urging them to support America’s air travel through legislation."
