I downloaded a new browser and did a fresh start, in addition to clearing browser history/cache. No go.

If by an ad you mean a new tab opened up. I got one this morning for a mortgage company after signing on.

Cleared everything. Restarted and still getting redirects.

Running Win 10 on a PC using Chrome...no problems

Still getting them today usually to "Driver Fixer". Just did a fresh install of W10 as well as clearing all cookies/cache/etc.

It's a pop up for me more than an add.

Yeah, I worded it incorrectly. Stopped happening to me tonight though.

Just got a redirect when I got on the Forum. I had cleared browsing history and logged off the internet just prior.

I’m on an iPad using Safari. Every tap on a new post, new page, just about anything, opens a new tab with varying adware — most often a VPN.

I have been getting massive redirects here lately so am staying away quite a lot. Just now even opening a topic it redirects. Try to post and click in reply button a redirect pops up. I use iphone so you have to be fast or else it won’t let me get to bottom/right box to click it closed. Its been the past several days not just today.

Nobody else seems to be having this problem.

I'm still getting redirects after clearing my browsing history. I'm using Microsoft Edge.

I just ran Malware Bites and my anti virus, both say my computer is clean.

I have Noscript and ScriptSafe as extensions in Firefox and Chrome, respectively, and have never seen a redirect or pop-up on OKCTalk.

FWIW, Chrome started blocking ads on OKCTalk a while back. When this thread came up, I started seeing ads in the sidebar again. Today, I noticed Chrome began blocking the ads again. I haven't had the pop-up windows through this go-around. Maybe unrelated I don't know.

Problem seems to have been corrected.

It went away for me too, yesterday afternoon. Thank you for looking into it. I think it's nerd rage by a banned person every time it happens haha.

Wow its bad for me still. Made 2 posts just now plus this one and had to fight off at least 10 pop ups. I cleared everything too.

Going back to my hidey hole again its been over 1 week maybe 2 for me getting these ads and redirects.

It's weird on Chrome using a windows computer I don't get any but Safari on iOS it's bad.

I had it bad for 2 weeks but it cleared up. I have not had any issues today.

If you use iphone like me, it was strange how I cleared it. I cleared all cookies and cache yet kept getting them. Finally I did a master phone reboot and thats when they went away.

Wanted to mention in case you use iphone, sometimes just clearing won’t work so you might try reboot (if on iphone).

Yes, due to our high amount of traffic we are a constant target.

And it's hard with discussion forums because by their nature, you have to allow people access to the site to post.

We get almost 100 attempted registrations every day and I try to screen them the best I can, but some bad guys get through.
