This is good but I wonder if these things will cause issues for each other in the future. lady_o 01-21-2021, 07:59 PM lowkey looks like a hall of mushrooms (in a good way) Pete 01-23-2021, 05:58 PM http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/experience012321a.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/experience012321b.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/experience012321c.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/experience012321d.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/experience012321e.jpg Pete 01-24-2021, 09:49 AM This section of SW 4th Street is now named after our former mayor: HTTP://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/experience012321f.jpg HOT ROD 01-25-2021, 08:11 PM interesting that this location of the cc and park is where Mick wanted it from the very beginning! So the naming fits. Laramie 01-25-2021, 08:51 PM So impressed with how this is all coming together. Got a chance to visit the area this morning--can't wait to see all of the barriers and barrels moved and replaced with some human activity. Hope this will be a game-changer that gives OKC a second look... Excellent pics, Pete. iMAX386 01-30-2021, 10:03 PM I feel like this strip is begging for some actual greenery. It's so much cement and gray metal--all one note color scheme wise. Some lush green landscaping, or actual ivy growing up these poles, or some kind of greener at the top of these things to make them look more tree-like would be welcome. Could use some greenery; so this space will be more of a pedestrian walk and relax area with basic foot traffic. Speaking of green spaces, what is that green rectangle on top of the building in the 3rd picture? Bellaboo 01-31-2021, 09:37 AM Speaking of green spaces, what is that green rectangle on top of the building in the 3rd picture? My guess would be a putting green. I think those are holes spaced out. Pete 01-31-2021, 09:47 AM My guess would be a putting green. I think those are holes spaced out. Yes, it's a putting green and can also be used for events. Pete 01-31-2021, 09:48 AM From this morning (Sunday): http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/4thstreet013121a.jpg Bellaboo 01-31-2021, 09:54 AM This will be such a unique and cool area. Can't wait to see the finished result. Impressive shade structures, much bigger than I expected. kevin lee 01-31-2021, 05:06 PM I don't really see the need for much green space here when you have 87 acres (incl. Myriad Gardens) of green space directly across the street. Pete 01-31-2021, 06:30 PM There will still be trees and other landscaping. Pete 02-10-2021, 08:42 AM http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/4th020921a.jpg HOT ROD 02-11-2021, 04:14 PM this might be a dumb question, but will the pods be covered? Pete 02-11-2021, 04:17 PM this might be a dumb question, but will the pods be covered? Yes. There will be slats filling in the hexagons. Yes, that was still being worked on Saturday. 16755 Pete 03-14-2021, 09:19 AM I'm sure these will be illuminated at night which should look pretty cool. It looked very solid to me. Pete 03-19-2021, 02:35 PM This project is scheduled to be complete by the end of April. The membranes on the top are water-proof and each structure has a gutter system and internal downspout. Pete 04-03-2021, 07:33 AM Close to finished here: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/4thstreet040221a.jpg shawnw 04-03-2021, 10:11 AM Definitely an experience now Oski 04-03-2021, 05:31 PM http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/4th022021a.jpg https://i.imgur.com/WrSejlR.jpg Should there be 2 more on the hotel side?
