There's some red brick pavers showing through receding asphalt at this intersection. Think they go back to Route 66 days?

I noticed that the other day, kinda cool. I think 66 went up 39th

There's some red brick pavers showing through receding asphalt at this intersection. Think they go back to Route 66 days?

That intersection is indeed part of Rt. 66.

Additionally, I wonder if there was ever any commerce at this intersection. I know a mile north, at Britton, there was a beer bar that had been there for a long time and dank little bait shop and general store just opposite on the east side of Kelley.

They tore up a bunch of pavers a few months ago when Kelly was being widen.
