This could be yet another nail in the coffin for 7-11 and Circle K in OKC. These look much better than the Casey's stores I've seen in Missouri.

That’s a pretty plain unremarkable facility. It must be amazing inside based on remarks here about it running 7-11 out of the market.

Better than the one's I've seen in Arkansas too. I'm chalking it up to being a new building.

This is definitely it. The best Waffle House in OKC is the one at SW 59th and Independence, because it's by far the newest. Otherwise, I doubt there's much difference between this and most other Casey's locations across the Midwest.

Having been in the new OKC stores, they are like a smaller OnCue.

They have easy-access restrooms and lots of hot food options, but aren't as extensive otherwise.

Very similar to the nw 7-11's but light years ahead of 90% of their older locations. And the staff was incredibly friendly.

The SW 134th/Penn and SW 149th/Western stores may actually be too close together. That is maybe 2 blocks difference?

Then again, 7/11 seems to do fine with locations spaced that close together (like NW 12th/Santa Fe and SW 119th/Western).

Those 2 Casey's are actually 2 miles apart. And, strategically located on two different heavily traveled thoroughfares.
One is on South Western and the other on SW 134th.

I wonder if they have decided not to go forward with the 12500 N. Mustang ( Mustang and NW Expressway) location? They originally applied for a 4200 sq ft store in January of 2019. Then in February of 2019 they applied for a 9500 sq ft building at the same location. As of today... both are still under review...fees have not been paid...and there is now a for sale sign on that lot.

Do you mean the former nursery on highway 37, just east of Walmart, McDonalds, etc? That's actually going to be Domino Convenience Store according the the City of Newcastle's Facebook page.

The one being built at Mogan and SW 29th has construction going again. It was spittle idle for about a month. A person in the area called corporate and said Casey was going through a corporate structure and projects are moving again.

The Reno Ave - Cemetery Road location was closed all day Friday (July 3), for 24 hours, for "deep cleaning" but we never saw anyone there and the inside was dark with all the lights off.

Any idea when Caseys at Council/Hefner will be built? That whole big area next to/behind corner is torn up and being graded with a big drainage pond for a development. It almost seems they tore up part of corner lot so maybe Caseys is piggy backing on using this company? Or maybe not?

It's an old Circle K.

I was in it before and it was a trashy mess. Just cleaning it up a bit has made a big difference.

Yes, I went to the store on 39th & Penn today and one of the traveling managers from Missouri was there and he said Casey's bought 50 Circle K locations (in the region I'm guessing?) all to be converted.

They have a new distribution center in Joplin, MO to service them all.

Yeah, they were both Circle K's for many years.

Almost all these properties are leases, so I suspect Casey's might not renew both with the time comes.

Oh they're ALLLLL over town. Everywhere i look, something is turning into a Casey's. A CHEAP version of Casey's, but it is one. There's no barn front. Just plain red and white signs....ie the bare minimum re-branding effort. I'm a bit disappointed in that, but maybe that will come later??

Casey's just closed on the purchase of 39 Circle K's in Oklahoma; almost all of them in the OKC area.

They are changing over the signage and cleaning up the stores a bit as they go, but are doing all this in a span of a couple of weeks. Imagine trying to open 39 locations all at once.

I'm very sure once they complete this phase they'll go back and start more serious renovations, but that is going to take years given the number of stores.

I hope they got rid of the card skimmers at the pumps at the Circle K/Casey's location at 134th and S. Western. They were there just days before the changeover at that location started.

The Subway in the Bricktown Circle K is closed, this store should look more like a traditional Casey's because they are going to use the space for pizza and donuts the cashier told me. Sad to see the Subway gone, but Casey's can make a statement if they get this one looking like the existing stores

Here is that old Subway space in Bricktown; I snapped this on Sunday.

That Circle K is one of the most disgusting mainly because there is a big homeless population all around and then the store workers don't clean anything up. I made the mistake of going into the restroom and it was one of the most disgusting scenes I've ever encountered.

I know they have a long way to go with the old Circle K stores, but they've already done a nice job of cleaning them up and making them more orderly.

If only 7/11 would do the same with its multitude of old, crappy locations.

I wonder when we are going to see some vending machine convenience stores become more popular with attached gas stations. Someone just needs to rip off Japanese convenience stores in OKC. You would be able to have fewer staff and offer a better overall experience than any other gas station convenience stores in Oklahoma.

This is the converted former Circle K at 39th & Penn.

They have really cleaned this place up. The windows had been cluttered with tacky posters and tons of stuff was piled up inside and outside.

I'm sure they will eventually getting around to doing much more but this has already been a big improvement.

Oh yes, that would be very interesting to have an originally built free-standing Casey's built there and not just a conversion. Very good competition indeed!
