Hosting major events such as the NBA All-Star Weekend (this would take other work too, but you get the point).
Even if they meet the hotel requirement they’ll still be quite far from meeting the hosting requirements.
Reminder the Boardwalk would supply hundreds of new upper-end rooms. Not that it will ever happen.
Also, the Omni exclusivity clause is very flimsy, evidenced by the fact the Boardwalk has already been promised hundreds of millions in public incentives. All a developer has to claim is the money will go towards the condos, parking, or commercial space, not the hotels themselves.
For this reason, I don't think the exclusion would have any impact on adding hotels to the new arena site, or the Rehco land between the two parks, or Strawberry Fields. They'll just find a loophole (with the aid of the Alliance) just like Boardwalk.

This would be cool but now way would it fit in the budget:

This is AI-generated garbage and has nothing at all to do with our stadium or even our city.
Let's please stop uploading this kind of crap, including cheesy videos that are either auto-generated or from someone who knows a ton less than the average reader of this forum. We should not be amplifying this crap.

Whoa. What is the big deal? Clearly anybody with half a brain cell would know that this is not happening. I even said it is no way shape or form going to be in the projected budget. I just said it looked cool. Wtf

Lots of people have come across this and assumed it was real.
Didn't mean to single you out... We also have people sharing ridiculous videos that are no better.
Time to draw the line.

Ah. I do find it odd that they decided to post an AI generated picture of a soccer stadium that would be north of $1 billion.

One hotel more wouldn’t get the NBA AS event here. And demand isn’t measured as one week long event every few years. What DEMAND evidence is there?

First, I said as much in my answer that it would take other work, so not sure your point. Second, this wasn't the question I answered. I provided a single example based on the original question of something the lack of luxury hotels prevents us from hosting. It wasn't a complete list, but something that was discussed on this site before.

They do that because their objective isn't to provide accurate information, it's to drum up engagement of any kind. If there's no new information, they just make stuff up. "AI" is just the latest BS tool they use to do it. You would think by now, people would see through that and not share or engage with it, but it's actually more pervasive and influential than ever.
