When we lived in Washington State we regularly bought maple cream sandwich cookies in the bulk or packaged areas of grocery stores. We hadn't thought about them until recently, so I haven't started to hunt. I'll start by asking here...is there somewhere around OKC where we can find them? I've found some online but would rather get them at a local store. Thanks.

I would happily swear I've seen (and bought) them from Aldi and/or Trader Joe's, but it isn't something kept in stock year-round. For some reason "the powers that be" have decided maple is a fall flavor, in spite of spring being maple season. But then relying on my memory is a dicey venture at best.

Have to be careful on brands, there's one brand out there (which escapes me at the moment) that has a REALLY GREAT maple smell when you open them. But that's all they put in, the smell. No maple flavor at all, just shortbread. Not even sure how they do that.

I noticed maple cream cookies by the brand Dare in WinCo's cookie aisle this weekend.
