Another Midtown building set for renovation (http://www.okctalk.com/content.php?r=542-Another-Midtown-building-set-for-renovation)

Urban pioneer Steve Mason has purchased the Land Law Building at 124 NW 10th and is planning a minor renovation.

Mason bought the 5,847 square foot building and .64 acres last month for $1.95 million.

Plans submitted to the Downtown Design Review Committee show the intention to replace the tinted windows with more transparent units, a softening of the aggragate exterior surfaces and a new entry plaza with exentsive landscaping.

Mason told OKCTalk that part of his motivation was to secure the parking that had been leased for his adjacent building that houses Coffee Slingers and several other tenants.

JGV Engineering – the long-term owners – have already vacated the building and merged with Cowan Croup at 7100 N. Classen.

Design work is by Common Works Architects.

BTW, they already have a tenant for this building, although I don't know who it is.

Used to be a Court Reporter's office. I've done a bunch of depos there.
