Hey All...

Some Ken's and Mazzio's "curiosity question(s).

I grew up/graduated in Chandler and remember around my graduation year 1981 a Ken's Pizza built there. I believe David Greer from Prague, Okla. built/owned it along with his other store in Prague.

***What I want to know is what happened to the Ken's chain?** I have heard stories back in the late 80's-early 90's but didn't know if they were true or even had any resemblance to truth. Flash forward to now........2018, and me wondering what happened..............the real story.

What story I heard and it's probably....totally.......completely......absolute ly incorrect, but this is what I heard waaay back then.

Ken's was owned by Ken ( and his wife) and was growing and doing well in the 1980's. Ken and his wife divorced and she got most to all of the Ken's and/or the Ken's Franchise.

Ken started up Mazzio's and later opened up Zio's Italian restaurant. His exwife mismanaged or sold off Ken's Pizza and it went downhill while Mazzio's tried to grow.



Any truth at all to this old story from my past? What really happened....to Ken's and Mazzio's??? Is Zio's associated with the Mazzio corporation?

That is similar to the story that I heard. The Zio's in Colorado Springs closed a couple of years ago.

Yes, you can still order a Ken's Pizza from Mazzio's. They are still pretty good!
