Tons of large equipment along Council Road, North of 50th up to 63rd. Looks like they may be laying large drainage pipes or something. Not sure why they would be doing this much work unless something large is being planned. It looks like a really big project.

I'm wondering if the plan is to bury the feeder canal leading to Lake Hefner. I say this based on seeing the vegetation cleared from the canal north of Wilshire to Rockwell. If that's the case, I say it's about time.

That would be beneficial in a few ways, but also a disadvantage in that it would miss out on all of the runoff as a result. Unless I'm off, I think they just get all the crap out every now and then to permit the water to flow uphill freely.
