View Full Version : Caprioti's

Oklahoma City, OK 73134 has closed. I don't know the exact end date, but they are officially closed. I think they are looking for another person to invest in a location here in OKC. The Bobbie sandwich is amazing. I hope they come back soon.
Bummer. Pizza is a tuff gig these days. I think they were a bit north of the beaten path.
Richard at Remax 05-15-2018, 09:41 AM This makes me sad. I was on my way to Cap Level 3.
That being said I was very frustrated with business hours. Too many times I wanted to stop by on weekend nights but they close at 8pm!!

Capriotti's is a sandwich shop.

So sandwiches is a tuff gig then? ;)
jn1780 05-15-2018, 11:49 AM It was too far north on Penn. I never ate there, but my wife and I have taken a liking to the new pot belly's .
The old Fuse location has similar problem. You would think someone would have snatched up a building already preconfigured to be a buffet.

Or maybe it wasn't far enough north?
The location they were in didn't have easy in and out and the area was already over saturated with food options surrounding Penn and Memorial. I think if Capriotti's was in a better location further north, by itself, it would have succeeded. The Louie's and Upper Crust at 178th and Western seem to always be packed and get a ton of residential traffic from the neighborhoods that avoid Penn and Memorial.
We actually prefer Potbelly's but with us living north of Memorial, it's a nightmare to get through the Penn/Memorial intersection to get to the south side of the strip of businesses. We tried it once and it took us 24 minutes to get back from Potbelly's exit to the SuperTarget Parking Lot. According to Google Maps, it is the same amount of time to go to the Potbelly's location on Northwest Expressway and Rockwell as Penn/Memorial, even though it is twice as far away. (7 miles vs 3.5 miles)
Paraphrasing the Yogi Berra old saying, "It's so busy, no one goes there anymore" - Many of the strip mall locations on Penn and Memorial that go in and out are a product of this dilemma.

Is Feast gone too?
warreng88 05-16-2018, 09:42 AM We went there for lunch a few weeks ago and the sign up said they were closed for renovations. My co-worker that lives in the area told me on Monday they were closed. Weird. Everytime I went in there for lunch it was pretty busy. Maybe mismanagement?
stile99 05-16-2018, 10:28 AM Is Feast gone too?
Nope. To my knowledge Feast never had any intention whatsoever of going into the Penn location.

Or the same criminal activity that closed Fuze since Feast was pretty much the same people as Fuze (I think)?
Just saw stile99's reply, so maybe not...
soonerguru 05-17-2018, 01:06 AM Wrong location. Food should have been better. Also, in a crowded restaurant market YOU NEED TO ADVERTISE. People think nothing about spending half a million and up on a build out but leave no money for marketing. If you do that you are dumb.

My response was to Capriotti's, not Fuze/Feast. I don't think there is shared ownership.
Richard at Remax 05-17-2018, 10:39 AM I don't think it had to do with quality. I tried a majority of their offerings and never had a bad sandwich. Google reviews had it 4.4/5, FB reviews were 4.8/5, ect. I think all signs point to management, or lack thereof.

OK, wasn't clear since you didn't quote who you were responding to and your post immediately followed one about Feast.

Oh, yep. I didn't see that one about Fuze/Feast until after I posted and didn't really pay attention while I was posting. I could understand the confusion.
