I was filling up at the OnCue Express located at N. May Ave & Hefner Rd. and noticed a Norick's True Value sign that was hanging in the former location of Tuesday Morning Mall just across the street. I drove by to get a closer look but it was early on Sunday morning and not many businesses are open. I did a quick Google search and noticed the grand opening for Norick's True Value is scheduled for March 23rd -25th from 7:30am to 9:00pm according to their Facebook page. It looks like Lance Norick is the proprietor of the hardware store. I remember Lance use to race outlaws at the state fairgrounds before the city killed off the racetrack and any other form of automobile racing.

He went considerably beyond the track at the State Fair. He raced NASCAR’s Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series. For a while his main sponsor was the NHL.

Man I miss those cool spring Friday nights watching flat track at the grand stand. What was the city’s reason again? Folks in the ten-penn didn’t like the noise?

More likely Miller, Las Vegas, Linwood, but yeah they cited neighborhood noise complaints as the driver.

My apologies for creating a thread that was already in existence. I specifically searched for "Norick's True Value" but I guess I'm too impatient if it doesn't show a hit within the first five results.
