Per Greg Horton Chalk is closed permanently.
That's disappointing. From a sports bar perspective, this was my favorite because it seemed like every surface of the walls was covered with a tv.
The owners made a massive investment.
Hate to see Chalk not work out.
Thus far, any vacancy at Chisholm Creek has filled pretty quickly so hopefully another operator can come in. It's a fantastic space and has a nice 2nd level deck with a bar.

The weather would be great outside and we would try to go for cocktails and a bite to eat, but the deck would be closed at the time.
Great layout, though, and it would make a great location for Louie's or The Garage.

Any word on what’s going on where Chicken Foot was?

I just looked and that property is still listed as for lease.

The rumor when it was built is that it was laid out for a sport betting type environment. Some of the video panels around the restaurant were set up to show live odds and such. I think they thought the state would pass online betting by now and just hasn't materialized yet.

I never used this feature but I believe it was unique in OKC:
they also plan a truly interactive experience where a cell phone app will immediately recognize guests as they enter and provide functionality such as directing them to the proper screens to view their fantasy players
They also claimed to have spent over $1 million on their A/V setup.

Does that area need a BWW? It would make the most sense from a sports bar side of things...

Eddie's just opened that huge space very nearby in the old Republic/Bandee's space.
Wings are a big part of their marketing.
My understanding is they are close to selling to a new operator.
Should have more details in a couple of weeks.

Eddie's has also been fairly busy every time I've gone. I do think a truly good, well-run sports bar in Chisolm Creek would crush it. We are always looking for places not named Twin Peaks up there to go to, aside from Pub W.

Having the new apartments in Chisholm Creek fully leased would definitely increase business for the proprietors in that area.
