I'm looking to pick up some peppers for making a batch of hot sauce this weekend. Which Farmer's Market will be the best to look? I'm primarily looking for tabasco peppers, but other peppers will be helpful as well.

Sprouts has a very good selection. I buy habaneros, Jalapeņos, banana, poblano and hatch peppers from them and they are very good. I do understand if you are interested in supporting local farmers. C. T. Paseofreak 09-27-2017, 10:30 PM Some time ago I routinely found a vast array of fresh and dried peppers in the stand along the west side of S Ellison Ave west of the Farmers Public Market. Not sure if it remains today. It was my belief that all those retail stands sourced from the wholesalers nearby and the quality of a given product across the Metro seemed similar with time, including supermarkets, so I didn't feel I was getting a special product there, but it was always a cool way to kill a few hours on Saturday morning. jstaylor62 10-02-2017, 02:05 PM Ended up buying Habanero and Red Caribbean Habanero peppers for $5 lb at the Cleveland County Farmer's market ... 14151 14152 |
