Stan Miller just announced that he is retiring from News9 at the end of August. He and his wife are retiring and moving to Montana where his kids live.

He added that Griffin was letting him leave well before the end of his contract, and the station had nothing to do with his departure. He just had a heavy heart that he was missing his kids and grandkids.

I always liked Stan and will miss his presence on the station. He said Ch 9 will announce his successor this afternoon at 4pm.

Wow huge loss, Stan always came off as so genuine and a great person, you could tell he had tons of passion for the stories he worked on.

Robin Marsh will be returning to News 9 in the Morning in September.

Do we know where in Montana? His kids picked a great state and at least they can get by in their line of work. I'm somewhat envious. Best of luck to Stan.
