I'd be excited if passenger rail service was extended through Edmond. This would be good progress for metro and state public transportation.

Yeah, I unfortunately saw that after I posted this one. However, I wouldn't mind a conversation on how rail service further north could affect Edmond. I'd love to see a station built (near the farmer's market).

I don't know if the downtown idea for a depo would fly. Maybe there is room for a side track around by the old Farmers grain. I was thinking around 33 rd st because of the old rail (now removed) by the warehouse on the west side of the tracks. Or maybe the Dental depot folks could sell and that building could be used.

The reason I think near the farmer's market area would be good, is that all the busses run there, and there's plenty of parking. Additionally, that's near where the station was in the past, so maybe could be restored/rebuilt.

I was told once that the city has identified a future location for bus and rail somewhere around 3rd or 4th street.

A new multimodal transit hub is in the works and funding is being identified.
