Didn't see a dedicated thread to general Tulsa business news. So, here it is!

A good piece of news for Tulsa. This newly formed company chose Tulsa to relocate its headquarters to over Chicago. It's pleasant to hear businesses relocating to Tulsa, instead of leaving, as has been the case over the last couple decades.

A newly formed transportation logistics company, Logistyx Technologies, is moving its headquarters to Tulsa, which could bring 50 jobs over the course of the next 18 months.

The company's CEO Kevin Cox told the World in an interview Friday morning that his company chose Tulsa over Chicago because of state incentives and the advocacy of local politicians, including U.S. Sen. James Lankford, as well as the Tulsa Regional Chamber and Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

He said the Oklahoma 21st Century Quality Jobs program was a "determining factor" in the decision for the company to locate its headquarters in Tulsa.

Logistyx is the product of a recent merger. A private investment firm in Connecticut, Kidd & Company, announced Tuesday that Distribution Solutions Inc., Agile Network and Pantechnik International had been folded together to form Logistyx. The three companies were headquartered in three cities — none of them Tulsa.

Cox said the company currently has about a dozen employees in CityPlex Towers, some have been hired recently. The company plans on hiring 30 to 50 over the next 18 months…
