Noticed some work going on at the old Sooner Trade School on the SW corner of Main and Western this week. I've always thought it was a cool old building. Hopefully someone going to make it useful again. I know it's been vacant for over 20 years.

It's still under the same ownership since 1997 and I couldn't find any sort of permits.

But hopefully something is happening here. Loads of potential and that area is start to heat up.

I'd like to see this area of downtown really be brought back to life and redeveloped. It would be a great area for a night life and entertainment district.

Things are starting to happen over there... West of Western, north of Main and south of Linwood.

I'd love to see a lot of those mostly abandoned industrial and warehouse buildings reworked into live/work space. Personally, I'd love to live there as it's super cool and a great location.

Eh, give it a few more years. Right now that neighborhood is a great place to get shot.
