I don't think they've closed yet. Once the new Concept Outback on Memorial west of May opens it probably will.

Is that a new change? Back in July they had a very prominent sign out front of the Edmond entrance stating they were closing that location in Aug. and to visit their new location on Memorial Rd.

I don't go to Outback for the steaks ... their potato soup and Caesar salads are fantastic!

My brother interviewed at the new location a couple weeks ago and said they told him the Edmond location would be closing. They also told him he would make $15ish an hour as support staff (Host, SA) even though pay is standard server wage of $2.13/hr + tips. It would take a huge volume to get that done. When I was in restaurants our support staff that was on tip share was lucky to hit $8-9/hr and sometimes we had to make up the difference on payroll to get them to minimum wage.

All that being said I actually think Outback is pretty good for the money. Most of the meals I've had there over the years had been good experiences. It's not a prime steakhouse, but its certainly better than a lot of chains IMO.

Also NWX has recently been remodeled so it will be staying open I’d assume and edmond closing. That is what was first reported when this story broke.

It’s possible they had heard wrong, or repeated old information which changed. :)

This location permanently replaces the old location for Edmond on Broadway which has closed and is being sold.
