View Full Version : Mustang Creek Crossing
This is actually within OKC city limits.
Massive mixed-used development planned for either side of the turnpike along the north side of SW 15th.
Have no idea if they have any of these businesses lined up. The hospital tract is unusual and pretty specific so that may be an anchor for them.

Zuplar 03-17-2017, 02:12 PM Ah I didn't know they were changing the Turnpike exit when they add on to it. I had been wondering why they've been doing so much work over there and there were the zoning requests to OKC. This will make this area so ridiculously busy though I'd be concerned if I lived up that way.
stile99 03-17-2017, 02:35 PM I really really REALLY hope they take this opportunity to do SOMETHING with 15th. Adding a turning lane would be the bare minimum, but if there's going to be a hospital there they better consider doing 4 lanes. In fact, I'd say while we're at it, go ahead and do 5 lanes. Turning lane from Mustang to Sara.
whatitis 03-17-2017, 02:40 PM God the traffic is going to be awful. I live on NW10th and Mustang Rd. and we avoid crossing the highway because there's always traffic trying to get over the highway.
Plutonic Panda 03-17-2017, 05:45 PM Wow. OKC will really be a different place if all this gets built. Great stuff!
ChrisHayes 03-17-2017, 08:15 PM Any word on a timeline for this? I live along Mustang Road, and I've been wondering when that area would be developed. I'm really liking all of the mixed use developments we are getting!
kukblue1 03-18-2017, 07:34 PM Area is growing. However that new westgate office center off reno and sara is empty. Looks like More factories are going up on morgan
ChrisHayes 03-18-2017, 07:42 PM I was really hoping Westgate would get some tenants and start to pop. It's probably only a matter of time, but the sooner the better. Where did you see manufacturing places being built on Morgan?

East side of Morgan Rd looked like something being built.
stick47 03-19-2017, 06:22 PM The drawing show the elementary and middle schools drawn on the East side of the Tpke but they're actually West of it.
Plutonic Panda 03-19-2017, 09:46 PM The drawing show the elementary and middle schools drawn on the East side of the Tpke but they're actually West of it.
That's the old alignment.
stick47 03-20-2017, 06:16 AM OK Thanks.
Plutonic Panda 03-24-2017, 04:25 PM OK Thanks.
You know one thing I noticed is they should work with OTA since they're building the turnpike brand new to put an over or underpass so the development will be linked and will take more traffic off of 15th St. That will be a fail if they don't do that. Still will be an amazing development though. I hope this gets built!
ChrisHayes 07-27-2017, 06:15 PM Any updates on this potential development?
ChrisHayes 01-07-2018, 09:49 AM Drove by there this morning and they're starting to scrape the ground at the northwest side of the area next to the apartment complex, along Mustang Road. Hopefully getting ready to start this development.
stick47 01-07-2018, 10:06 AM Good thing IMO here is that the turnpike entrance & exit will be on the West side of the school. Should assist traffic flow and improve safety.
ChrisHayes 01-14-2018, 03:45 PM Are there any websites dedicated to this project. I live up the road from it, and they're continuing to clear land off both Mustang and SW 15th Streets.
Plutonic Panda 01-14-2018, 04:57 PM I haven’t be able to find any.
jompster 05-01-2018, 04:20 PM That looks like it will be as busy as the town center in Midwest City at SE 29th and Air Depot. Nice development.
Any word on what supermarket may fill that space in the northwest corner?
Merman 10-16-2018, 11:58 AM Looks like the start of this project has started at the corner of 15th and Mustang Rd. with a new OnCue.
Plutonic Panda 10-16-2018, 12:00 PM I hope this actually goes through as planned.
It's all just conceptual.
They don't have developers for any part of this yet.
stile99 10-16-2018, 01:29 PM Dirt work has been going on for about a month or so.

sgt. pepper 10-19-2018, 07:11 AM LOL....this first comment is somebody already complaining about it.
Wishbone 10-24-2018, 05:10 PM I read somewhere that the 7-11 at sw 15th and Mustang road is the busiest in OKC.
chuck5815 10-25-2018, 11:00 AM I read somewhere that the 7-11 at sw 15th and Mustang road is the busiest in OKC.
Yep. That oil and gas money is flowing straight into the Town Center, West End Pointe, and the 7-11 at SW 15th and Mustang.
Merman 10-29-2018, 02:44 PM They just did a remodel of that location to add more room for cold beer coolers. This place is busy from 5am to 9pm every day!
Mike_M 10-30-2018, 07:42 PM Yep. That oil and gas money is flowing straight into the Town Center, West End Pointe, and the 7-11 at SW 15th and Mustang.
More like government and Paycom money.
chuck5815 10-30-2018, 08:44 PM More like government and Paycom money.
Wrong. Canadian County is #2 in the state in terms of per capita income. And it ain’t because of Paycom or any particular government. It just so happens that a wide share of that money is spent in Yukon and Mustang.
Philip 09-11-2019, 09:08 AM Any updates on what is happening with this development? I drive by and don't see anything happening on the North side of 15th St. The information within the development brochure on the website (mustangcreekcrossing.com) indicates phase 1 opening spring of 2020. Do they have any anchors lined up yet?
This was all very conceptual and I know they have been working to secure anchors but my understanding is they have not forged any solid deals as of yet.

Pete just responded to you above.
This project is now known as Mustang Creek Crossing.
The new turnpike is now open to SW 15th and the first part of this will be an OnCue and Wendy's. The construction seen in the first image (taken Saturday) is for a car wash.

Plutonic Panda 01-07-2020, 06:55 AM It looks like they will have an underpass at the Kilpatrick. That is great!
sgt. pepper 01-07-2020, 12:09 PM I think there is a car wash under construction now, and I wonder why they are building a Wendy's when there is one just down the street in Mustang?
Zuplar 01-07-2020, 03:04 PM Well the other one in Yukon is even closer, only 4.6 miles away.
I guess Wendy's is just trying to go with the same amount of market saturation as McDonalds.
Soonerman 01-07-2020, 06:20 PM Is there a Sam's club being planned there in the area??
chuck5815 01-07-2020, 06:53 PM Is there a Sam's club being planned there in the area??I think Carol Hefner was saying this would land a Costco and nothing less.
Plutonic Panda 01-08-2020, 02:58 PM There is also a website for this development: http://www.mustangcreekcrossing.com/
There are some renderings and more site plans on the brochure.

There is housing edition plots after housing edition plots being built out between 152 and I-40 from Morgan rd to cemetery rd. It’s crazy the amount of new homes and growth. A person that I talked to, that works in Yukon gov’t offices, told me they expect in upwards of 60K new people in just that area over the next 5-10 years.
That part of OKC metro, all the way up to Piedmont, is just blowing up.
Plutonic Panda 01-18-2020, 08:52 PM ^^^^ I saw that. Many, many new freeways are needed to keep up and virtually no planning is taking place.
chuck5815 01-19-2020, 10:58 AM I mean, I get that we have a Friendly Fed, but it Just seems like the wrong time in the cycle to try this style of development. Reckless even.
sgt. pepper 04-22-2020, 09:03 AM Does anybody know what is going up just west of the turnpike on 15tth street.....the car wash maybe?
ChrisHayes 04-22-2020, 06:45 PM Does anybody know what is going up just west of the turnpike on 15tth street.....the car wash maybe?
I was wondering what that building is. If it's a car wash, it's awful tall for one.
sgt. pepper 04-23-2020, 10:01 AM I was wondering what that building is. If it's a car wash, it's awful tall for one.
oh I agree, I don't believe it is the car wash as advertised, but it is a tall structure.
sgt. pepper 04-23-2020, 03:25 PM Car wash.
thanx Pete, going to be an interesting car wash.
Merman 06-22-2020, 10:53 AM They have a large Mustang Creek Crossing sign up at the corner of 15th and Mustang Rd now.
roci28 06-22-2020, 07:34 PM Anything new planned on going there besides the car wash, Wendy’s and OnCue?
Merman 07-30-2020, 08:47 AM 16306
Mustang Dentistry and Braces and Old School Bagel Cafe at SW 15th St. and Mustang Rd. next to 7 Eleven.
roci28 07-30-2020, 04:59 PM Awesome, glad to hear of some tenants. Thats a huge space over there!!
okcoolcoolcool 08-02-2020, 09:34 AM Really excited about OSBC. Always loved their food but never in the area of any of their shops during their regular hours.
ChrisHayes 11-27-2020, 06:42 AM Going down the KP Turnpike, you can see where they're starting to clear out more land and what looks like getting ready to build the first road that will go back in there.
ChrisHayes 06-12-2021, 07:45 PM Any updates on this development?
roci28 06-13-2021, 09:24 PM I’m surprised there hasn’t been more activity yet for this area. Seems like prime real estate for the Yukon/Mustang area.

Plutonic Panda 08-04-2021, 12:32 PM I wonder if Costco builds here. In the plan they have a "warehouse supermarket" listed with no name.

^
They have been recruiting Costco along with other property owners in that general area.
Costco has yet to commit to anything.
