over the last few years i have driven past the sw 29th corridor many times and had noticed
some form of construction equipment, dirt moving and sewer renewal work that seemed
to drag on forever. then i noticed some new street curbes and sidewalks. the last time i passed
by the area, maybe a couple of weeks ago, there seemed to be a network of sidewalks that went
around the creek basin and interconnected with other sidewalks and features such as a pedestrian
bridge and i think a park. i have tried to search but have not found any results. so is this a new park
being developed or what exactly is happening in this area?

It's a $3 million city-funded project for draining improvements for Lightning Creek and some small improvements to adjacent Oliver Park.

The funds are from the 2007 general obligation bond.

This is the 3rd of 3 phases of this project.
