I guess this is the right place - Pete let me change my screen name. It was East Coast Okie but since we are coming back home, I wanted to change it. Now, it is Pennyquilts. I quilt. Get it? Yuk yuk. I'm a riot. My blog is also Pennyquilts and now I won't have to remember another screen name. At my age, that could be futile.

Thanks for posting your new screen name here. I probably would never have figured it out and wondered where ECO went. I read your blog as well. The trip to the animal shelter made me weepy.

Hi, my name is Emily. I got married last December, and 9 weeks ago gave birth to a beautiful (honeymoon) baby girl! What happens in Vegas....does not always stay in Vegas lol. My husband and I started a website design and marketing business to let me be able to work from home once she was born. He also works outside the home. I am interested in website design/marketing, piano, and anything baby and parenting.

Hey!!

I'm an avid hunter with a soft spot for dogs and all things hand made (mostly furniture). I try to advocate for a lot of the things that make cities great, like transportation, skyscrapers, and sports! I'm so excited about the projects outlined in MAPS3 and what they will do for our fine city. Can't wait to start participating in all the discussion OKCTALK has to offer.

Hello all. My name is Bret. My family and I live in Yukon. Im 30 and grew up in the PCN area of NW OKC. Wife is 31 and grew up in Edmond. We moved to Yukon around 2 years ago when we had our little boy. We wanted a good place to raise a family and believe we found it.

I work as a CADD drafter. I have been in it for 9 years. I am a systems designer/drafter for audio, video and lighting systems.

My friend told me about this site on our way back yesterday from the Cotton Bowl. Said there is alot of neat people and information about this great OKC and surrounding areas!

Just wanted to say hello!

Hello, My name is Lynette. I transplanted here to OKC in 1993 from Burns Flat. Yes the home of the Spaceport that never got off the ground. Being born and bred in the Country and always a city girl at heart living in the city has proved to be a real adventure for me. I love our city, I love the potential it offers and I love the people. It is truly a small world even in a city as large as OKC. I enjoy reading the site and keeping up with the happenings. I have worked for American Camaro& Firebird in Warr Acres for 17 years and also assist with managing the Mideke Supply Co Building in Bricktown. My boss Gary Berlin owns both. So much going on in our town, such a bright future I look forward to seeing where the next ten years takes us.

Hello everyone! I am a 24 year old female who just recently transplanted from Orlando, FL, hence the name. I an just looking to connect with people from OKC since I am new here. So far people in Oklahoma seem like a very warm and friendly bunch and I can't wait to meet more of you.

I currently work for a state agency full time and I also have a part time job. As if that weren't enough, I also go to school full time for Crime Scene Investigations. Despite having a full plate, I always make time to stop and relax.

I'm looking to move to Oklahoma from my native Texas as soon as I can. Since I'm a strong believer in making a fool of myself, I mean "you never know until you ask," I'll toss out there for your consideration that I am a recent college graduate seeking an above minimum wage-paying job, a roach-free apartment, and friends who know a thing or two about the area and don't mind a "stick in the mud" tag-along!

Hi I live in Kansas City (actually Lees Summit) but I have been to OKC and the company I work for has a big office there. I am currently working on my Missouri CPA and Nevada CPA, and would like to be a controller at a casino someday. Are there casinos in OKC?

Hi All, I lived in UK for first 28 years, then 5 years in NY and 5 Years in OKC (a little east of OKC but still classed as OKC). I am freshly divorced and happy about it.. I own a couple of small businesses which means I have little time for anything other than work and my dog.. I do manage to get on the intertubes at night though !

Greetings all! I just found this site.

I'm a videographer / editor by day, and a sleeper by night. My wife and I live in Mustang, and I've been in OKC pretty much since 2003. I have no memory of what bricktown used to look like. Well, that's about it for now.

Been in Oklahoma since summer of '59. Used to watch early space adventurers in low earth orbit from back yard. Not nearly the light pollution back then. Moved to OKC, '72. Moved around OKC since. I do remember Bricktown before it got all neatsy cutesy.
