My wife and I are looking for some info on what appears to be a new housing development east of the On Cue on Flood. Its on the north side of Tecumseh and I believe its across from Sysco (roughly).

We've been looking to move into the area for some time now...but have so far been unhappy with our options. Its somewhat of a Goldilocks dilemma---this ones too pricey, or that ones too cheap.

So far, this development has only recently begun paving the roads, but no housing has gone up and no signs posted.

If anyone knows who the developers/builders are, I would certainly appreciate the info.

Thanks

I think its the same developers that have have created every other neighborhood in that area north and south on porter and the 2 or 3 other subdivisions towards Sooner Rd.

I hope your not referring to Ideal homes. They have Greenleaf Trails (which look cheap to us, imho) and Red Canyon Ranch (which have small lots and are overpriced, imho)

Then they have Montoro Ridge and Little River Trails which are both over $300,000 and just north of our price range.

That area of north Norman is perfect for us, and we'd love to have a house built over there...but we JUST can't hit our sweet spot.

We were holding out hope for that development...not having any luck with what Ideal Homes are doing. I hope its not them.

Anybody got anything else? I don't believe its going to be Ideal Homes....

Or....does anyone know of a way to find out? We've asked two real estate agents...and are waiting to hear back from them.

I believe Founders Park is the name of the commercial developement behind the OnCue.
The subdivision Im referring to is located a little bit further east.

Of course, Ive been wrong before.

Avoid Ideal Homes like the plague. Seriously.

In fact, check out EACH and EVERY builder you might deal with. Many private builders have been "aggregated" into these WalMart home companies like Ideal and you never really know who the actual builder is. Go look at how these companies or builders build individual homes *from the ground up*. Don't just go by a finished model somewhere. Look at the wood in the wall studs, the quality of the framing, excavated footings...and don't be fooled by builders in "high-end" divisions. I've seen some of *the* crappiest construction corner-cutting in *the* most expensive homes.
