I was half watching one of those Food Paradise episodes on tv and.. well now I want a real deal meatball sub.

Do any places make the meatballs in house and specialize in really over the top meatball subs?

The only time I've had one recently was at the state fair. It was very good but you may not want to wait until next September to try it.

Don't know if they do anything special but the one place I can't resist a meatball sub is Hobby's Hoagies. They have a place in Edmond and downtown.

http://meatball.house/ I've never been but this is a place where Meatballs are kind of their whole thing. It's on Campus corner in Norman.

Yes, very good and they will be coming to Deep Deuce in 2017.

I had the CC folks deliver to the office one day. Perhaps it was an off day, but I wasn't impressed.

Not a big fan of meatball subs in general, perhaps because most folks it is simply a one of many offerings. I do really like the meatballs from Bella Vista, Sophabella and Gabrellas, although they are far too big to go on sandwiches unless you are going to slice them up and build your own.

The meatball subs at Firehouse Subs isn't life-changing or anything, but they aren't bad.

I've the meatballs at BV several times as an appetizer (size of a baseball), but never knew they had a meatball sub. I will have to try said sub...

Hobby's Hoagies is excellent. And the meatballs small plate at Pizzaria Gusto is outstanding, so I would bet their meatball sandwich is great too.

To clarify, I do not know if they offer a sub version. I just like their MB enough I could see ordering extra and making my own subs at home, though slicing those monsters down would be absolutely necessary.

I just looked on Zomato and they do have a meatball sub. it is on the back of the menu above the kid's menu. Looks like it just two meatballs, split in half, with marinara, mozz and prov cheese on a hoagie.

As a side note, the wife and I have taken our two year old daughter there three times and the owner (can never remember her name) always brings out a side of cheesy garlic bread for our daughter to eat on. Now, keep in mind, I have been going there monthly, at least, for more than ten years and bringing all sorts of people with me. So, I don't know if they do that for everyone, but it sure is nice of them.
