sgt. pepper 01-09-2019, 12:15 PM OK, I thought it was strange that a forum about this place didn't exist. I looked and looked....sorry for the question, I guess I should have looked some more...LOL Anonymous. 01-09-2019, 03:35 PM I like the pizza here. But the prices seem a little steep. Hideaway is similarly priced but Hideaway's pizzas [seem to be] larger & I think tastes better. As a pizza goer downtown. The never ending battle between Joeys/Halls/HIdeaway is a tough one. shawnw 01-09-2019, 03:53 PM Joey's always wins PaddyShack 01-09-2019, 04:12 PM Here-Here to Joey's!! TheirTheir 01-09-2019, 04:19 PM Big fan chuck5815 01-09-2019, 04:59 PM It’s good enough, but the slices pale in comparison to Empire’s. GoldFire 01-09-2019, 09:57 PM I also prefer Joey's and Wedge, but the location/setup of Hall's sets it apart. BBatesokc 01-10-2019, 06:37 AM Hall's and Pizzeria Gusto are my goto pizza places for 'date night' - just not my goto for really good gooey indulgent pizza nights. warreng88 01-10-2019, 10:16 AM Love Hall's. I mostly eat there for lunch and get their special, Quinn's burrata, salad and slice for $13. Worth every penny. Great service too. Overall, I think there is better pizza out there, but this fills a good local niche in and around downtown that isn't Hideaway or a chain. Also, you can buy by the slice which is great if there is only two or three of you and you can't decide on one pie. Timshel 01-10-2019, 10:25 AM The Quinn's Burrata is reason enough to go to Hall's as much as possible. So good. betts 01-10-2019, 11:24 AM To me, Pizzeria Gusto, Hall’s, the Wedge and Joey’s pizzas are all different and good in their own way. My husband prefers Joey’s, so we generally go there, but I enjoy all 4 and like to mix it up. Pete 06-11-2021, 10:44 AM I believe they will be announcing a new Edmond location tomorrow. Not sure exactly where. sooner88 06-11-2021, 10:47 AM I believe they will be announcing a new Edmond location tomorrow. Not sure exactly where. Based on their clues, this is my guess: https://www.google.com/maps/place/301+N+Broadway,+Edmond,+OK+73034/@35.6585922,-97.480782,3a,75y,277.56h,90t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1siwr9wIA9gtX5c-7dFxLF6g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!4m5!3m4!1s0x87b21fb52b 958817:0x9e0301f1662b05c5!8m2!3d35.65865!4d-97.4811893 David 06-11-2021, 10:50 AM Right across from the Patriarch, that would be nice. Pete 06-14-2021, 07:44 AM They weren't hinting about Edmond, they will be opening Harvey Bakery & Kitchen at the old Chrysler Plymouth building at 301 NW 13th: The Harvey Bakery & Kitchen is a warm & comfortable neighborhood restaurant where you'll want to be morning, lunch, & afternoon. Unlike anything in OKC, we're bringing pastries, breakfast & lunch, coffee, & more in a beautifully curated space for you to enjoy from early morning to late afternoon. https://www.facebook.com/theharveybakeryokc jompster 09-28-2023, 06:54 PM Have any of you used Hall's online ordering? I'm listening to my mom have a fit with them on the phone because they messed up her order when she got there, thought they fixed it, then messed it up a second time. I know they lost a customer with her, but wow... haven't they had time to get this right? Tyson 09-28-2023, 07:16 PM Have any of you used Hall's online ordering? I know they lost a customer with her, but wow... haven't they had time to get this right? That isn't a normality for the business. Sure, that's not a good look to make a mistake twice but the majority will still repot receiving top notch service, me included. I used to work for the owners of Hall's and I was constantly witnessing their desire to improve and serve people better. So it's not out of a lack of willingness to get it right if you happen to get an order wrong. Bummer your mom had to deal with that though haha... OKCRealtor 09-28-2023, 07:22 PM I've never gotten it to-go but it's one of our favorite places and has always been excellent food & service every time we have been. To go food in general is much more difficult to execute without missing something and it unfortunately happens. CaptDave 09-28-2023, 07:44 PM Have any of you used Hall's online ordering? I know they lost a customer with her, but wow... haven't they had time to get this right? I wonder if you got part of our order. We placed a to go order online last night. We thought something was wrong but the counter person insisted they were right. We didn’t have time to argue with a surly counter person so we took what they gave us knowing the food is uniformly excellent. But one of our pizzas wasn’t what we ordered. I’d chalk it up to one less than stellar person at a really good restaurant. The only thing I don't like about it is they expect you to pull into the alley to get the to-go order and sometimes they take a long time to notice you and come out and it can create traffic issues for people trying to get down the alley. Other than that, I've had a good experience every time I use it. OKCRealtor 09-29-2023, 09:58 AM did they ever add full bar service?? Yea they've had bar service for awhile. BoulderSooner 09-29-2023, 10:24 AM Yea they've had bar service for awhile. more then just wine and beer? warreng88 09-29-2023, 10:33 AM I use it regularly and have never had a problem with it. Other than that, I've had a good experience every time I use it. Same. We get it about once a month and the drive thru pick up is always weird. I always, always, always check my order before we leave because we have gotten home several times (with to do orders from other restaurants) and things have been wrong and we had to go back. Usually with Halls we get a pizza (half and half) and the burrata and that's it. They have gotten our order wrong before, but they corrected it on their end without any argument. The OP might have encountered someone having a bad day... OKCRealtor 09-29-2023, 10:39 AM more then just wine and beer? That I'm not sure of, might be just wine & beer now that I think about the last time I had drinks there which has been a couple years ago. I don't pay a ton of attention to bar service anymore because I don't drink. warreng88 09-29-2023, 10:54 AM Looking at their website, it looks like it is mostly beer and wine, but they do have champagne and sangria. https://thehallskitchen.com/menu BoulderSooner 09-29-2023, 10:55 AM That I'm not sure of, might be just wine & beer now that I think about the last time I had drinks there which has been a couple years ago. If so, then we have it. Maybe you got the garlic knots we didn't get. I would think so too, it's a great spot. |
