Just happened to drive by SE 15th St. & S. Sooner Rd. and noticed the new Hobby Lobby and Academy. The parking lot for Hobby Lobby was completely packed while the parking lot for Academy was completely empty. I didn't see if Hobby Lobby was officially open or if they are still getting ready for the grand opening. Does anyone know if the Hobby Lobby at SE 15th St & Air Depot Blvd will be closing?

I work for Hobby Lobby. I don't think that store is open yet as they were still stocking it a couple days ago. They're closing the one down the street.

I thought i read a post somewhere that Hobby Lobby offically opens today. Yes, the Gateway Plaza store will close (wondering what will take up that much room)...maybe we could get a Mardel's back???

Academy i believe is almost ready to stock, but i haven't seen any posts on their planned opening day.

My next question, wondering what will go in on the corner on the actual Sooner Rose spot. The post i read from the MWC Manager also mentioned the area being named Sooner Rose...nice that they kept the name at least.
