It is certainly worth mentioing that we lost another lengend of our time. "The King" Arnold Palmer passed away today.

I'm not a golfer, but I enjoy watching matches on TV, and he was around ever since I can remember.... RIP Mr.Palmer.

At one time I had a personalized to me signed autograph from Arnold.

It has long since disappeared - circa 1963 - 65.

We still have old black and white photos of Arnold and my dad from that era.

I have a 1988 PGA Championship Oak Tree visor with his autograph on it. Thing that sucks is its damned near 30 years old and fading. I don't really know how to cure that other than put it in a vacuum seal!

Many youngsters will remember him from the Xeralto (sp?) commercial. His part in it really tickles me.

RIP the Great One, who was also an icon & a legend for the game.

Arnold Palmer won the Oklahoma City Open Invitational @ Twin Hills, 1959 and @ Quail Creek, 1964.

Never will forget my first game of golf at Lake Hefner Golf Course (rented clubs) - 1972; nothing like miniature golf. Thought it was going to be a cake walk; then quickly found out that you have to be in shape. We didn't have a golf cart; damn nearly walked myself into a stupor. Have the highest respect for the game of golf.
