I have memory of taking an entrepreneurship (sp?) class at OU. A woman in the class had the project to create the Container Store. She and her Mom opened a store or 3 in the Dallas area before selling out to the group that probably owns it now. Can anyone verify? turnpup 10-04-2017, 09:13 AM I can't verify the history but can tell you definitively that there was a C-store in Dallas in 1988 at Mockingbird Lane and Central Expressway. It was my first year of college at SMU and everybody wanted to get stuff for their dorm rooms there. mugofbeer 10-04-2017, 10:45 AM I'm mistaken. Nevermind. MagzOK 10-09-2017, 12:28 AM Yep, the Container Store was still there on Mockingbird my freshman year at SMU in 1995. We bought stuff there for my dorm room. I found this history from their site: http://standfor.containerstore.com/page/about-us Pete 10-10-2017, 11:15 AM Here are the plans from the building permit; I created the overlay: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/container101017a.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/container101017b.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/container101017c.jpg Robert_M 10-10-2017, 02:26 PM Bids for General Contractors on October 23rd Colbafone 11-29-2017, 08:59 AM Construction fence going up this morning.
