One of my favorites. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is my favorite childhood movie, and his movies with Richard Pryor were gold. Also had the opportunity to read his short book "My French Whore" set during the Second World War. One of the greats, will be missed.

There goes another great one. I love Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor in Stir Crazy and in Silver Streak.

RIP Gene Wilder. You will be missed.

Wow, I had no idea he was that old, or that he had Alzheimer's. RIP.

Also, his work in Mel Brooks' classics Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles. What a legend.

The 1967 version of The Producers is definitely worth watching.

Terri Gross had an excellent interview with him from 2005 on NPR this evening that was fascinating to listen to. He was a great story teller.
