Cost Plus recently announced a Tulsa location and has been looking in the OKC area as well.

I'm hearing their first location may be Bryant Square in Edmond and if that proves out, I'm sure they'll have multiple area locations.

I was a big fan of Cost Plus when I lived in California.

Can anybody see a Cost Plus in Norman??

I was in Norman Monday night and I couldn't see one. ;)

Sorry... I couldn't resist!

Would love to see one in Moore or Norman though. Doubt Moore gets one with the new At Home just opening there.

Norman is the perfect market for Cost Plus.

I hope we get 3 or 4 of them in the metro.

It's very similar to Pier 1, but bigger and a bit cheaper plus a decent international food section.

And if the liquor laws change, hopefully they'll bring their wine and beer sections, as well.

Yay! But boooooo at Tulsa getting it first :(
I've been to one in Kansas and it is a gazillion times better than Pier 1.
And you mentioned Edmond...could it go in the space that use to be Tuesday Morning?

Saw this article today in the Business section of the DO

Seems like their interested in the Memorial Corridor along with Home Goods and Buy Buy Baby. I recently found out that BB&Beyond also own Cost Plus World Market and Buy Buy Baby.

Anyone know how the one in Tulsa is doing, and if they've done any remodeling/reshuffling now that prohibition has ended in the state?

That's a bummer, I was at the Tulsa one maybe 6 mo ago and the cashier checking me out seemed pretty convinced that they were planning on opening one in OKC.

They have some good food items that are hard to find.

Otherwise, a lot like Pier 1.

This center really needs some apartments.

I've been a fan of this store for many years - very glad they're finally in central Oklahoma. Still believe there is plenty of room for several more stores, specifically in Okc. The vacant Gordman's in Centennial Plaza at NW 58th and May comes to mind. Also, in French Market Mall, on the east side, is that a vacant tenant space between Burlington and Dollar Tree? If so, that maybe could work. Also would be in the same retail place as their partner, Bed, Bath and Beyond. I've never claimed to be in the retail leasing business so, who knows. In any case...I'm happy.

Agreed. It seems like a few parking spaces could be removed for pedestrian walks and more landscaping. Hopefully they’ll do something to improve it.

That land behind it should be something semi-dense and maybe a city park combined.

Please, please, please, do not let them put it at French Market. That parking lot makes me crazy. But, you're right, there are plenty of vacancies that would be good. I think there's a vacancy in the Old Navy/Petsmart/Golf Galaxy strip on Memorial that would be good, too.

I do hope we get one soon.

I can't see Cost Plus World Market just opening in Norman, I'm sure they'll at least be putting a store or two in OKC soon.

I believe it was supposed to open in November, so I would assume that it is.

I was told by one of the employees that the store will relocate in the same center.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but, has anyone shopped at Ollies? Two locations, one close to the Turnpike on NW Expwy, and the other in Midwest City. I was impressed with their selection of name brand small appliances. I wish I had waited to get my Convection/Air Fryer combo unit now. Nice selection of Cookbooks and other reading material. Low prices. https://www.ollies.us/home.html

Fixtures are being installed currently in the Norman location while construction is being finished. Probably opening in a couple of weeks as a best guess.

The new Bed Bath and Beyond location is still under construction. The front isn't enclosed yet and they are just starting to work on the polished floors downstairs. Still have electrical to run, HVAC, painting etc. Will be probably another two months before they move.
