What did the fans do? Bellaboo 03-15-2017, 12:16 PM Cheered for Russell, whenever he went to the free throw line, they chanted M V P. They also gave him a standing ovation when he got the triple double. Ahhhh... That's pretty great coming from a fan base in a city that isn't known for being that friendly... Or at least the television/movie sterotype of Brooklynites isn't always pertrayed that way.... Never been there myself to see. OKCRT 03-15-2017, 07:13 PM If Russ keeps playing the game like he has the last couple of games this team has a good chance to make some noise. Putting Taj in the starting lineup has transformed this team. With a healthy starting lineup of Westbrook-Olidipo-Adams-Taj-Roberson they can play with just about any team they face. Taj is such a HUGE upgrade over Sabonis it changes the team so much for the better it appears. And Sabonis is benefiting from playing more against backup players that he can compete with. bradh 03-15-2017, 08:35 PM THE CASE FOR ANDRÉ ROBERSON AS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: https://sports.vice.com/en_us/article/the-case-for-andre-roberson-as-defensive-player-of-the-year Thank you for sharing this, I have a friend who says he doesn't even belong on the All Defense team. dankrutka 03-15-2017, 11:29 PM Thank you for sharing this, I have a friend who says he doesn't even belong on the All Defense team. We play up to our competition, but if we can play at this level consistently we are going to put up a good fight in the playoffs. With Clippers and Jazz both losing last night, we're only 0.5 and 3.5 games back, respectively. We arguably have the easiest schedule out of the 3 teams. The odds are slim, but if we could jump all the way up to 4 it would be a great boost to our playoff run. Bellaboo 03-17-2017, 12:01 PM One of the best games we've played all year, in my opinion. Whole team looks like a D league against them. For some reason, when Klay is shooting lights out against us (which is always) we reverse psychology him by leaving him wide open. I thought that kind of weird myself. Pick your poison? With Draymond or Zaza usually holding the ball it allows the guards to run free and it's either Steph or Klay that's going to shoot it, and they think it's better for Klay? There was a period in the 3rd I think where they were blatantly going to Klay and he was still not guarded well. The majority didn't go in though. sooner88 03-21-2017, 09:31 AM After last night we're 2.5 back from 4th and tied with Memphis (we have the tie breaker with 1 game remaining against them) for 7th. GSW is going to be an overly emotional game for us, we just need to pray that we end up on the other side of the bracket as them. Bellaboo 03-21-2017, 11:50 AM We win when the ball goes in the hoop. 54% free throw shooting won't get it done. We are one of the 2 worst free throw shooting teams in the league. Abrines going 0-7 on wide open threes won't get it done either. McBuckets going 0-2 and zero points does not help. When we can't shoot from outside, they collapse the paint and that really hurts our chances. Just need to shoot the ball better. Laramie 03-22-2017, 09:26 PM . Laramie 03-30-2017, 09:20 AM Billy Donovan has done an outstanding job with positioning players to complement one another as he goes deep into the lineup. Any team that loses a franchise player like Durant as we did would have a difficult time getting his team back into the mix. Westbrook deserves the credit with his banner year (Triple-double average); this proves that he's not a ball hog as he leads the league in points averaged, his rebounds & assists stats are off the charts. _Kyle 03-31-2017, 09:36 PM Well... sh*t Jake 04-02-2017, 04:12 PM Thunder as a 6th seed is essentially set in stone now. Meanwhile, the Rockets can play without a couple of starters, including Hardin, and are still crushing the Suns on the road. Hardin's having a great season, but it's too bad this individual award is so team success dependent. Hardin has WAYYYYY more to work with. It will be an interesting off-season to see what moves we make. The big contract for Adam's is worrisome to me, he has played no where near worthy of that this year. I don't like the Houston match up. I just think they have too much offensive talent. Having said that, maybe in the playoffs the Thunder can step up the defensive intensity, play tighter on their shooters, and force them out of their 3s and lay-ups game. The Thunder will be underdogs against any team in the 1st round so it'll be tough regardless. Easy180 04-03-2017, 11:44 AM Just happy we made the playoffs after the Durant fiasco.
