Dave Cathey is saying a new restaurant named Ding will be going in the restaurant black hole on 39th Expressway that was originally Harbor House, and most recently a Bella Italia, in Bethany and is scheduled to open July 22nd..

Not much more information was given. A quick Google search turned up nothing but other restaurants around the country using the same name were mostly Asian concepts.

IIRC, that was originally The Fire House restaurant? Started by a retired fire fighter, it was built to look like an old fire station with the windows resembling arched bay doors on each side and had a vintage fire truck parked out front. After the owner passed away and it closed up, Barry Switzer put a restaurant in there, which may have been the Harbor House.

You may be right... I remember the firetruck.... I was quoting from Dave Cathey's info. So it wouldn't be the first time he gave me bad info..... That and there have been about a million restaurants pass through that building.

Wasn't that the location of Barry Switzer's fried chicken? I ate there once and it wasn't bad. I think it only lasted a couple of years.

C.T. , I think your right. And Harbor House came later. Like BBQ said, it's probably been home to numerous eateries.
