You can see some more of the north wall laying at the ready, though some of those gaps may be left unfilled for a bit until after the roof is on, floors poured, stairwells in, major mechanical done, etc., to leave room for heavy equipment to come and go. Also, that place is giant. traxx 11-13-2017, 08:54 AM Funny thought; What if piece by piece, portions of the mall are demolished to make room for out parcel construction like what happened with Macy's and Life Time. And eventually the entire mall is gone and a lifestyle type development is left. Now, please don't take this as a serious post. I never claimed that it would or should happen. I just thought it was a funny/interesting idea. Although the tennis area only being single story increases the footprint quite a bit. Pete 02-05-2018, 02:04 PM Their website says the OKC location will open this fall. MitchellCole 02-05-2018, 02:20 PM There is no way I would ever pay that kind of money a month to work out (I only use free weights or pulley machines, and the Y is plenty), but I'm glad we are getting something like this. It looks amazing. Pretty sure that organization is already essentially defunct. jn1780 04-29-2018, 06:05 PM Noticed the new entrance to the mall is done. They were just waiting for the parking lot in front to be finished. Decious 05-07-2018, 04:42 PM Paid my deposit today. Monthly membership for my family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) is $250/month. FYI. d-usa 05-07-2018, 05:08 PM It will be kind of nice to have an (almost) direct entrance for going to a movie there. Thomas Vu 06-14-2018, 09:44 AM I got an email of what amenities they offer and the prices. I'll copy pasta below. The cost of convenience is real. We have reciprocity but I don't think they have a tennis only membership. chuck5815 06-16-2018, 09:55 AM Do they have tennis-only memberships? Sounds like they don’t have squash courts, which is honestly a bit surprising and a mistake when you consider LTF’s target market. There’s not any game that’s more gentlemanly than squash. bluedogok 06-17-2018, 08:47 PM The Parker one here has a thing for Pickle Ball, not sure if the HR location does. Zorba 06-30-2018, 12:49 AM Do they have tennis-only memberships? No. All or nothing. There is also a fee to reserve courts, FYI. okatty 07-08-2018, 05:41 PM We received a 50 page glossy mailer yesterday about Life Time. It’s impressive, I’ll give em that. ChrisHayes 07-08-2018, 05:42 PM I saw where they're looking to hire something like 300 people. That's a LOT for a fitness center. Pete 07-08-2018, 05:45 PM We received a 50 page glossy mailer yesterday about Life Time. It’s impressive, I’ll give em that. I did as well. I'm sure they'll have legions signing up. Just for the eight indoor courts. No fee for the four outdoor courts. Does anyone know if there are additional fees to participate in the tennis leagues? I meant to ask when I went to the preview center but forgot. LFordD40 07-09-2018, 08:16 AM Was going in and visiting the preview center worth it? My wife and I were considering it but when we drove by last weekend seemed like it might just be walking into a small building and have them sell it to you? The preview center is just a small building where they show you a video and some renderings and then try to sell it to you. I only went because I had some questions, but there's not much benefit to going if you already know you're going to join. okatty 07-09-2018, 01:30 PM The preview center is just a small building where they show you a video and some renderings and then try to sell it to you. Have they set a firm opening date? Signed up my 3 adults, 1 kid. Told me they are shooting for middle of September opening. Standing in front of the place really makes you see how massive it is. One of, if not the biggest one they have built. A lot bigger than the ones in Tulsa and NW Arkansas. All the stuff for the kids is what sealed the deal for us. Being able to take our 4 year old and have activities for him was a huge selling point, especially the sports stuff. Looking forward to it opening. LFordD40 07-12-2018, 04:21 PM Ya I saw they labeled this location as Onyx Premier or something? Seemed like it was maybe towards the top end of the spectrum but I wasn’t sure exactly how the rankings of club types worked. ShadowStrings 07-12-2018, 05:28 PM Ya I saw they labeled this location as Onyx Premier or something? Seemed like it was maybe towards the top end of the spectrum but I wasn’t sure exactly how the rankings of club types worked. There's one level ahead of Onyx — Diamond I think... Urbanized 09-04-2018, 08:25 AM It's hard to understand how enormous this place is without seeing it in person. I’ll bet you’re right, but even in your pics it is shocking how close it comes to rivaling the entire remaining mall in size. Zorba 09-04-2018, 11:52 PM How big is this compared to other Life Time centers? If you took off the tennis, it is about the same size as Tulsa. A little less fitness area actually since this one houses a medical area and larger children's area. It is basically identical in size to most of the ones with Tennis. bluedogok 09-06-2018, 07:20 PM It looks bigger than the one that I go to in Parker but that one does not have tennis. I have been twice - Saturday early afternoon and this morning about 730. Saturday was busy but still easy to get on machines or use about whatever area you wanted. This morning wasn't busy at all as compared to Saturday. Parking was easy both times. We'll see how that goes during the holidays. Locker rooms and amenities are really nice. Cafe has nice selection - I didn't have anything yet but my wife had some sort of salad/bowl at lunch and liked it - about $10. gopokes88 10-17-2018, 08:14 PM They are spending some serious $$$$ on their marketing materials. I got a 20 page marketing book for membership the other day. BridgeBurner 10-18-2018, 02:50 PM This place is insane, I used a friend's guest pass because I had to see why anyone would pay +$100/mo for a gym and tried to see as much of the place as I could. They have really nice squat racks w/ dead lifting pads (either 8 or 10 I can't remember), had someone show me "the zone" which has a bunch of $1/minute recovery items like hydro-massage chairs, compression sleeves, and a 0 gravity treadmill, sat in the dry sauna, and jumped in one of the indoor pools. The gym has two bars, one by the outdoor pools (closed) and another by the indoor tennis courts- basically, its a country club with a ridiculous gym instead of a golf course. Personally, I can't really justify spending almost x4 what I pay now and driving 15 mins farther but I can definitely see how it is worth the money. If I lived near Chisholm Creek I would sign up in a heartbeat. |
