So ON CUE is coming along. What is the story with taco mayo and jimmys egg? Over a year and a half now and still nothing. Did they change their minds? What is going on?

Taco Mayo bought their parcel in December of last year, so that is going forward.

Not sure about Jimmy's Egg but I believe it is still a go.

Taco Mayo's construction side, has been hired to redesign and build all the new Jimmys egg restaurants moving forward. I think there are 4 or 5 new ones in the works....

So they will be building Taco Mayo and Jimmy Egg at the same time? They talked about this last January just seems to be taking a while.

Well there haven't been too many projects in the area that go very quickly. There's a company in the OKCWorks office that does some sort of work with a lot of the parcels because they've got blueprints for most of the places out there. I think it might be State Farm, but i'm not sure why they would need blueprints. They have their plans in an area that other companies occupy, which is weird, so they're relatively accessible so it's fun to nose around a bit :)

But back on the point, everything in Westgate's area has been slow. And I say Westgate because the whole lot of it, including the outlet mall and surrounding land, was previously owned by Zirby Enterprises....part of the group that bought out the Lucent Plant (OKCWorks) years ago. They've been selling off the land piece by piece (also Francis Tuttle) so it's been a long-running real estate development project. For them, you wait for the right amount to come to you because it's reached enough of a completeness that they dont have to offer incentives to build. That means some slow timelines on these last projects.
