A true "greatest ever" of the sporting world died today. Gordie Howe, every bit a legend in the NHL as Babe was in baseball or Michael in basketball, thrilled hockey fans over 4 decades. He will be missed and those who follow hockey will forever know of his greatness. Hell, he even had a hat trick named after him. A Gordie Howe hat trick was a goal, an assist, and a fight in the same game. Even though I was and still am a Ranger fan it was a thrill to watch him even though many times my Rangers were on the losing side to his Red Wings due to his domination of the game.
