any idea why this location closed down

I tried to go there a few weeks ago, and there were signs saying that they were closed due to fire.

Seems it was started intentionally by something tossed through the drive thu window

I noticed that when you search for KFC locations on the KFC website, the location at NW 59th St & May Ave is not listed. One would assume that it is officially closed. If it is closed, I think that the signage needs to be taken down. Does anyone know if the site has been listed for sale?

I asked at another store about this location and they indicated that it is not going to re-open. Not sure why they don't take down the signs. Miss going there from time to time.

There seems to be construction work at the former KFC. All former signage is down and a fresh coat of beige paint has been applied. My guess would be a Raising Cane's is moving in but I could be totally wrong.

I miss going there when it used to have a pirate ship on top of it but things change.

It's still owned by KFC and I haven't found any building permits.

Red dumpster on the side facing 59th is gone, and there's an orange sign up on the door facing 59th (not sure if it was there before, and didn't have time to check it out when I went by).
