Driving on 36th Ave NW in Norman over the weekend and spotted this place going in a new building.... Not much info out there on them yet but looks interesting.

Here is an update on this concept from Dave Cathey this morning....

"Gerry Reardon, formerly of Cafe 501, is the executive chef and managing partner of a new concept called El Toro Chino Latin + Asian Kitchen, 2801 36 St. NW. Reardon said the restaurant should open around Sept. 1, but Reardon is doing caterings and private dinners. For more information, call 701-8676."

Saw this place a while back. Doesn't look like work inside has started yet. Odd place for a restaurant but really close to me so I will visit when it opens!

Is this place doing well? I probably drive by a few times a week during peak dinner hours and it often seems like the place is just dead.
