Like has been mentioned here for the past several days, the main threat is large hail. Especially with any cells that remain isolated and become extremely tall.

Dryline looks to be about to go in Canadian County.

Pay attention now, because these will be on the front door step as soon as [if] they develop.

Should we start a new chat room on Discord? Weather related it might be nice for the upcoming season?

What about a Slack channel?

What about a Slack channel?

Either works. I usually use Discord so people can go to in web browsers without any installs for ease of use. I haven't used Slack in a while so it might have all the features we could use.

I thought you could make Slack Public, but you can't. Discord might be easier. Slack's a good platform, but may not be perfect for this.

T-storm initiation appears to have started directly on top of the metro; one cell quickly growing near Will Rogers World Airport and a second in NE OKC at about 23rd and I-35.

How the severe thunderstorm in Lincoln County looked from Stillwater shortly after 6 pm. Weatherman Morgan said the storm's top has gone up as much as 57,000 ft. In Stillwater, it had sprinkled earlier that morning from a thunderstorm that came closer. That storm hit Cushing head on with nearly an inch of rain.

A few tornadoes in NE OK today. Let the season begin!

High fire danger for most of W half of OK.

Chance at a glancing storm or shower tonight, greatest chances across NE OK.

It's April! Is there a tutorial on creating a new month?

Crap... I always do that.

And no, but one of the mods is able to copy the format from the past month.

:) I wasn't calling you out, btw. Just remembered it's April. Where's Venture when you need him? Shouldn't he be turning his weather-watching attention back to Oklahoma now that it's spring? ;)

Create a new month!? COOL! Let's call it "Stormtember." Or maybe "Hypetober."

Huge fire in Woodward County…
Having hunted, fished and worked in the area of this fire I know that if it hasn’t already the wind shift will take this fire into areas where there are many deep ravines with millions of Cedar trees and in places sand hills…… where heavy equipment will have trouble negotiating.

This area really doesn’t have much in the way of a good road network or very much natural water to help fight fire.

This fire likely becomes a lot larger before its put out which could take several days until they see rain on Sunday or Monday?

We could see smoke from this fire in the greater OKC metro.

These folks are going to need all the firefighting help that can be sent their way!
Strong winds, dry conditions fueling wildfires across Oklahoma | KFOR.com (http://kfor.com/2016/04/05/strong-winds-fueling-wildfires-across-oklahoma/)

Woodward County

According to the Oklahoma Forestry services the blaze in Woodward County was caused by arcing power lines.
High winds up to 50mph caused those lines to arc, which sparked blazes in four different directions. Those fires quickly spread and then burned together.

Currently it is 55,308 acres and is 0% contained as of Wednesday afternoon. (4/6/16)
