So this seems like a pretty large project for Edmond and could be nice depending on how it is done, so I figured it deserved its own thread. When I get more time, I'll upload the current site plans and concepts that they have released so far.
Here are the agenda packets:

Yah, this is a 1/2 mile south of me. as I was saying 90' from center line road right of way. Road with have large center median. (Douglas blvd)
I hope they don't change the zoning for the commercial. Where they want to move it lends itself to further strip centers. Where it is now is inside the property which would make it a very unique development opportunity.
I'm afraid if they change the zoning they are just setting up to be sold.

This development has hit a snag. Not sure what it is as I do not subscribe to the Oklahoman and currently the article is only available to paying members.

March 14, 2016 City Council - Edmond, OK (http://edmondok.swagit.com/play/03142016-949/#47)
I'm not where I can watch this right now, but evidently it was at Monday's council meeting.

Edmond development faces yet another postponement | News OK (http://newsok.com/edmond-development-faces-yet-another-postponement/article/5485286)
I am not sure how I feel. This news article makes it feel like the development is kind of shoggy. We'll see and I am interested to learn more.

Yeah, the whole sewer/septic thing bugs me. I know residential septic systems can have issues, so the idea of a fairly decently sized commercial development with septic seems scary.

I agree with you. I'm also not particularly thrilled how they want to basically have a mile long strip mall along Covell. It could be nice but it seems like one of those things it all depends on how they do it. It will either be nice or really bad. I didn't realize also that there are no current plans to widen the streets. These are all 2 lane streets. Lots of issues here it seems.

Also the 108 ac they sold at sorgrum Mill and Douglas is on the council agenda for next week. Add in the 150 ac across Douglas with the first phase already having the streets in and dirt being turned for the second phase, the area is going to build up fast. Just give the area another 2 -3 yrs. I just live up the road. Already lots more cars and trucks on Douglas everyday.
