Does anyone know the original intent behind this lot? Just curious because it seems to stand out as being one of a kind.

I thought it was for folks that car pooled to Tulsa but lived in OKC. I don't know how wide spread that is, but I've known several folks that have done that over the years...

Any ideas which companies required this? Or could it have been for state workers? Is the intent that you would park there for the day only, or that you could leave the car for a month?

The people I know that did that weren't part of any agreement, but it allowed people from different parts of the city to meet there, car pool to Tulsa, and return, leaving a car there. I presume it was intended for the day. Sorry, don't know an official story...

Isn't that where the OSU bus comes to and from Stillwater daily ? It even has the u-turn for the bus.

I swear i've seen that orange and black bus in there before.

Just noticed the canopies for the students who would be waiting on the bus.

I have used that lot in the past when I am carpooling with family to OSU games. It is a convenient spot for us to meet on the way to Stillwater. It always seems to be pretty full on Saturday afternoons in the fall. There is a bus stop there but I don't know the particulars of which routes go there.

I just wanted to bring this thread back up because I noticed a lot of dirt work happening just to the north of this lot. Does anyone know what they're doing?

The original OTA commuter lot was right at the original turnpike gate just east of I-35. For safety reasons it was moved to it's current location after the actual toll gates came down and traffic no longer had to slow down while entering the turnpike there.
