Relaxing in Mustang, felt a sudden boom and wondered if it were an earthquake or if a truck hit the house. Checked the living room, no truck.

4th and strongest one near Luther today. 3.4, 2.7, 3.1, and then the 4.0, the only one I noticed. Plus 2 near Perry and 2 near Helena today also.

Felt just a low rumble in west Edmond. Wasn't sure if it even was a quake.

We just felt that one! broke an antique picture frame :(

That's awful. Due to the lateness of the hour quake happened, I have to hope there were at least a few Republican legislators at the state capital who sensed it.

Felt a jolt in Yukon. Actually woke me up from the couch and heard a nearby lamp shade rattling.

Me and none of my friends felt anything in Norman. Seems to have dropped off quite quickly with distance. Heard from a friend that it shifted their couch in Shawnee.

It seems in the past few weeks that there have been more quakes just to the NE of OKC in the Luther/Prague corridor than before, in contrast to the recent months up them being focused up near in Fairview, though most have been small with the exception of yesterday. I wonder if we're in the midst of a 'swarm' in this region, which would be felt much more in the metro.

Maybe a shift in one area creates tension in another.

I work less than a mile from the Capitol and my building was shaking pretty darn good. I have little doubt that people within the Capitol complex felt it too.

Doubt it. Their wallets are cushioned with contributions from the culprits.

Lately, the earthquakes have decreased to a lower frequency level seldom seen before in recent years. Apparently, lower pressure levels asked for by the OCC are working. But every time before when earthquakes tried to subside they soon come roaring right back. We'll see what happens in coming weeks.

Just threw this graph together with data from the USGS, confirming my suspicions: earthquakes have decreased significantly since the announcement on 3/7/16 of additional regulations on wastewater injection volume (see: http://earthquakes.ok.gov/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/03-07-16ADVISORY-AOI-VOLUME-REDUCTION.pdf). Go figure.

Yeah the earthquakes were getting crazy and very concerning around the time of the new year, but they have decreased significantly recently. It's been a while since I've felt a significant one.

Was just thinking of posting in this thread the other day because there hasn't been a good quake in a while.

Just felt a super long one about a couple minutes ago ~8:35am.

I'm on the southside and it was very quick and abrupt for me. A co-worker was leaning on the table I use as a desk and I thought he had hit the bottom of it with his leg. Just a sharp jolt and it was over. I wouldn't have known it was a quake if he hadn't pointed it out.

This is the thing that I find fascinating, as there have been several others that people have flipped out over and I never felt.
This one I felt down by the boathouse district, felt it for a while too.

I have noticed that in our building that people that are sitting feel them but people that are up walking about don't feel them.

Same thing happened with me today. I was sitting, and felt a strong jolt while my coworker felt nothing walking just feet away.

Was literally walking in my driveway to my car as this happened in NW OKC and didn't feel anything. Pretty big one out of the blue, though.

Luther has actually had a couple of 3.X quakes over the last two days.

MASSIVE in the downtown/midtown area. We were asleep and it woke us both up. Seemed to go on forever. We could physically see our house, the chandelier, etc., shaking.

North Edmond here, must have been a large one if it was felt that wide. Didn't seem to have quite the intensity of the 5.1 of a few years ago but seemed to last longer and shake side to side more.

Holy Crum!.... West Edmond over by 178th & Western. That was the strongest one I've felt since the "big one" in 2011 and lasted 6-8 seconds. Our pendant lamp over the dining room table was swinging back and forth .

Goodness! Just felt it a while ago. I was sitting on the couch in the living room. The couch started swaying back and forth, and I thought my husband had sneaked up behind me and was trying to scare me! The shaking lasted a pretty good time. My husband was still in bed. He said it woke him up and the bed was moving too. We live in Duncan. This is the strongest and longest one we have experienced! Wow!

Felt stronger and longer than the one a few years ago when the OSU game was on. That was my previous big one and this one felt stronger. I bet there going to be a lot of brick veneers cracked this morning.

I've been keeping an eye on it, and about the time we had ours, Wyoming and Nevada have one listed, Wyoming's was pretty deep. Cluster of earthquakes, or was ours felt that far?

EDIT: And now the Wyoming report has disappeared. Conspiracy theorists, assemble!

That's the biggest quake I've felt since the 6.7 Northridge earthquake in 1994.

I could fell like some small rolling force then suddenly pretty big and violent jerks followed by more rolling.

I was brushing my teeth in front of the bathroom mirror when it hit; suddenly everything in my field of vision became wavy because of the mirror's movement. Quite disorienting.

This one felt a bit stronger and longer to me. I guess it really depends on where you are and what you are doing when these things hit.

My wife (born and raised in Indonesia) her friend (born and raised in Japan) who is staying with us both say the earthquakes we have here are different than the ones they have back home. Here, it's a generalized shaking but back home they say it's more circular and it upsets your equilibrium so much that you get dizzy. I think that would be much more frightening than what we experience.

I also might have posted this several weeks ago but I'm too lazy to go back thru 7 pages to see. :)
