1406 North May, across the street from the new Sam's, has been tagged by Mid West. Do we know if anything is planned, or is this a spec demo?11976

Nice to see this eyesore will be gone. Now if they can bulldoze the San Marcos and the former gas station to the west and develop that into a quality development that will clean up that intersection.

There are approved permits with the City to demolish both this building (4106 N May) and it's green roof and red brick neighbor immediately south (4100 N May). The property, along with a few parcels directly east, belongs to the owner of Mayfair Key & Lock. There don't appear to be any indications of what the future plans for this property may be in City permit records, as far as I can see.

Those properties have not changed hands in a while and there are no building permits filed.

What a damn shame. That building has loads of potential!

It's well outside an design committee boundary, so there is really nothing from stopping such owners from demolition.

A demo permit in such cases are just a formality.

Will be a shame if they demolish that for parking. It could be a cool building if restored.

That would be a shame since 14th and may is a residential area and tearing down a house for a random parking lot would be odd there.
If only they would move it up to 40th and may, theres an old empty bldg there that could be demolished! :D

Of course, we can delete my scarcastic post when the correction is made. LOL

It would be a lot like Market C if it were rehabbed. Similar Tudor style commercial storefront.
