I haven't been back to OKC in nearly two years now. The last time I visited, it was icy and we stayed home for much of the time, so it's really been more like 3 years since I've spent anytime in the city. Outside of experiencing Warren IMAX for Star Wars, are there any recommendations on areas that have really transformed in the past few years? I'll be in the city through the weekend, so hopefully can check out quite a few spots including new restaurants and Braums, of course.

Midtown, Automobile Alley, and the Plaza district have seen the most transformation over the past few years. Also Uptown 23rd is burgeoning, but it will really take off soon once the Tower is complete.

In 2013, Midtown was pretty much just McNellie's, Bossa Nova, and Louie's. Now there is Fassler Hall/Dust Bowl, O Bar, R&Js, the Garage, and Bleu Garten if its open. Waffle Champion is also now serving at their window late night. Auto Alley was cool to look at with its neon but there wasn't much there. Now there are several bars/restaurants along the corridor. The Plaza was pretty much just Saint's, the Lyric, and District House. Now there is Empire, Oak & Ore, and a few more places there. Uptown 23rd was dead and now there is the Rise, Pizzeria Gusto, the Pump, and Guyutes. I think you will be pretty impressed with the changes.

The areas that have changed the least are probably Bricktown and the Western Ave district but they are still cool to hit up.

This is a great reference on neat things to do.
