Roger S 12-17-2015, 07:18 AM Apples to Apples is fun or for a more adult oriented option there is Cards Against Humanity... For just a mindless fast paced dice rolling game we have had fun with Tenzi's sooner88 12-17-2015, 08:38 AM Heads Up on iPhone, iPad, etc. is really fun and also records a video of the people giving / acting out clues which is pretty entertaining. White Peacock 12-17-2015, 08:43 AM Trivial Pursuit is really the only board game I could ever get excited about playing. RadicalModerate 12-19-2015, 01:36 PM Trivial Pursuit is an excellent pick. Lots of people can play (even as teams) and there are so many different versions. Then there are all those group card games to which I've forgotten the rules (Oh Hell . . . Spoons . . . etc.) Brett 12-22-2015, 10:50 AM Dungeons and Dragons or Texas Hold 'em. Thomas Vu 12-23-2015, 11:05 AM I read that it was a good cheap game for people who are interested in cars. baralheia 12-23-2015, 01:43 PM Telestrations is HILARIOUS, and like Cards Against Humanity, the more terrible a person you are, the funnier the game is. Telestrations is particularly fun when you've had just enough to drink that inhibitions are gone but you can still draw. The normal game accommodates up to 8 people; they have another version that can do 12. NoOkie 12-25-2015, 12:56 PM I vote for: The Resistance (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/41114/resistance) / The Resistance: Avalon (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/128882/resistance-avalon). It's a bluff and deduction game where some people are good, and some people are hidden traitors. Lot of fun and very interactive. Plays pretty quick(~20 minutes a round, once you get the flow of the game down) Also, supports a ton of players(11 is max, I think). The main difference between standard and Avalon is just how the cards are skinned and a few optional rules. We own the Avalon version. Runner up: Coup (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/131357/coup)- Same game designer as The Resistance, sort of advanced Bullsh!t. Plays incredibly fast, and is fun. I like this one, but my friends enjoy Resistance much more. Uptowner 12-25-2015, 01:54 PM Hold em, skip bo, and spades early before the wine starts to take over. Then cards against humanity, farkle, and 10,000. |
