Lets shift this focus a little bit from what kind of beers we like, to the best places to find these beers.

I'm more of a home drinker, so I'll list some of my favorite liquor stores that have a decent amount of craft beer:
The Celler in Norman
Byrons
2nd Street Wine Co in Edmond

Anybody have any hole in the walls that they usually get a decent secret stash of craft? I usually find that the bigger stores have a better selection.

There's a very small store close to 50th and May that carries a lot of options, especially for their size.

Thanks for this reminder. I need to go in there and stock some good beers in my fridge.

IMO, Freeman's is the best liquor store in this city. I'm proud to call it my neighborhood store.

Pancho's on Meridian/NW Expwy used to have a great selection, a great "beer guy" (Chris), and good prices, not sure if that's still the case, haven't been there since I quit working at Hertz.

I've only been to Pancho's a few times and haven't been super impressed. On the Expy I think there you can get a better selection at Sean's Wine & Spirits.

Every time I see this thread I smile. Just the word beer makes me happy. I haven't been on this thread since I'm boring these days beer wise. Mostly Coors light. But "Back in the day" I loved to drink different beers. Anyone remember Garfield's beer club where if you drank x number of different beers you got your name on a brass tag on a bar stool. I was one of the first ones to have my name on a stool at the Shepard Mall store. Ahhh, the old days!

Last time I was in Pancho's was more than 2 years ago, so they might've gotten worse. And yes, Sean's does have a great selection, they are more expensive than Pancho's, though (but if you can't get it at Pancho's, then it doesn't matter if they're cheaper :))

Grand Cru on Britton/May seems to have a big selection, haven't really investigated deeply to see how big or how their prices are, though (they used to be part of Sean's, along with Bacchus on NW 173rd-ish/May, until that got broken up).

Sean's is a beer lover's paradise.

Highly recommend Abita Grapefruit IPA. The grapefruit kills most of the IPA taste lol.

Ok, I noticed the "LOL", but really, why order an IPA that doesn't taste like an IPA?

I think I've tried at least 4 Abita beers and haven't liked a single one.
Yes, I am a slow learner.
