I searched the forums but couldn't find much on an arborist, at least not recently, I have a friend who is on the SW side of the city that has a large pecan tree that needs a bunch of trimming and has some bag worms that need to be taken care of. Thanks.

We had really good luck with a guy named Darren Jolliff - Jolliff Tree Service. Number is 924-1699. His crew does very good work.

What really impressed us what that before he invoiced us for the work he had done, he called to ask if everything was all right. It wasn't until after we made contact that he sent the bill. Classy.

The bag worms (a good thousand) all wrapped up in what looked like a ball of white cotton candy or white spider web just looked horrific. There were as many as 4 to 5 bags on our tree. I use to have dreams as a child of being in our back yard beneath the giant pecan tree only to have those things fall all over me--I would awake in a sweat (perspiration) having endured that ordeal.

The bag worms would also attract predators. How well I remember the warps & dirt dobbers would penetrate those bags and carry off a good many of them.

Definitely have empathy for the problem & concern you have with these tree pests.
