A new restaurant has opened in the historic Hart Building (http://www.okctalk.com/showwiki.php?title=Hart+Building) at the southeast corner of Sheridan and Shartel in Film Row.

Caeli's Sweets, Eats and Bar opened today and offers breakfast and lunch.

The restaurant occupies the spot formerly occupied by Chopt (http://www.okctalk.com/showwiki.php?title=Chopt+closed) and then by James & Niel's Latin Cafe (http://www.okctalk.com/showwiki.php?title=James+Niels+Latin+Cafe). The latter closed after being open only a few days due to a dispute among the owners.

Caeli's joins Joey's Pizzeria (http://www.okctalk.com/showwiki.php?title=Joeys) and the Paramount Cafe (http://www.okctalk.com/showwiki.php?title=Paramount+Cafe) in the immediate area, with FlashBack RetroPub (http://www.okctalk.com/showwiki.php?title=FlashBack+RetroPub) set to open soon just to the west.

Just last week, plans were revealed for an ambitious restaurant and live music venue (http://www.okctalk.com/content/162-restaurant-live-music.html) at the west end of Film Row.

I tried the pie in a cup today... It was good but I don't know that it was $3.00 good.

Haven't been able to find their business hours yet but if they open before 8 AM I'll give their breakfast a try this week and I'm sure I'll go try a few sandwiches.

I'm also a little confused about them calling themselves a bar but I suppose they could still be working on getting a license to serve liquor.

Is there a separate breakfast menu or page two to this menu?

I know this is a small place but the issue we have had with each place that has been here is the limited menu. Six sandwiches and seven salads. Hard to find something for everyone when ordering for office of ten. I think we will be hard pressed when wanting sandwiches to switch from city bites where the menu is more diverse. Will work for a small place to walk down to if in the area though but not sure that will sustain it. Hopefully they will gather a loyal following and be successful.

When I drove by last night I noticed they are now open in the evening too.... They had been closing after lunch.

According to their website, they are now open 7A-7P Monday thru Friday.

They are serving breakfast and coffee this morning.
