Vice President Joe Biden's son, Beau, has died of brain cancer at age 46.

For those that don't know, Biden lost his wife and an 18 month old daughter in a car crash (that seriously injured Beau), just a month after he was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1972 at age 30. The Vice President has suffered horribly - a wife and now two children.

Thoughts and prayers to the Biden family.

He has taken some tough hits, as have so many. He's in my prayers.

There are few things that EVERYONE can agree on...but I would imagine that we ALL agree that cancer flat out SUCKS.

My father died of brain cancer when I was a senior in college.

It's a horrible, horrible way to go, both for the patient and the family.
